At Lok Virsa: Summer camp for children from July 27

ISLAMABAD: National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) will hold a summer camp for children featuring Wakhi and Balochi languages here beginning July 27. The camp will introduce students belonging to various educational institutes of the twin cities to the cultural diversity of Gilgit-Baltistan and Balochistan. Children between the ages of 6 to 12 will participate in the camp that will continue till August 25. Summer camps arranged by Lok Virsa, aim at providing healthy entertainment and recreational opportunities for the young and to help them learn about the value of their rich cultural heritage, said a Lok Virsa official. Meanwhile, the Lok Virsa will launch a book on “Waris Shah - Life and Times”, based on research of three eminent scholars of the Punjabi literature.
