Reckless driving: Five killed in Pishin road accident

A Balochistan Levies official says it was a head-on collision caused by over-speeding

At least five people were killed while 24 were wounded in a deadly road accident in the Khanozai area of Pishin district on Tuesday.


According to the Balochistan Levies sources, a Shehzor pick-up on its way to Quetta from Killa Abdullah collided with a small speeding car coming from the opposite side in Dil Sora area. As a result, five people were killed and 24 others sustained injuries.  “It was a head-on collision caused by over-speeding,” a Balochistan Levies official said.

According to passengers, hardships were faced while shifting the injured and deceased to hospitals as there was no ambulance available. The victims were transported in private vehicles after a prolonged struggle which aggravated the situation.

The deceased and the injured were taken to Civil Hospital Quetta for treatment. Five of the injured are still in critical condition. The deceased were identified as Bibi Iram, Razma Bibi, Mathehullah, Aisrar Ahmed and an unknown man.
