PAF claim 2-0 win in football league

Mudassir Wasim scores late goal to guide Pakistan Air Force to 2-0 win against SSGC in Pakistan Premier League.

KARACHI: Mudassir Wasim scored a late goal to guide Pakistan Air Force (PAF) to a 2-0 win against Sui Southern Gas Corporation (SSGC) in the Pakistan Premier League (PPL).

Muhammad Mujahid opened the scoring against SSGC in the 23rd minute as PAF led 1-0 at the interval. As SSGC failed to score the equaliser, Muadassar Wasim doubled the lead in the 85th minute to seal victory for PAF. Both teams have played 28 matches each. PAF stand on seventh place with 43 points while SSGC lie on 15th position with 16.

With the defeat SSGC were demoted to the relegation zone after making it to Division A after 15 years. The other team to be relegated was PMC Athletico who are at the bottom of the table with 15 points.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Army, Karachi Electricity Supply Corporation, and Khan Research Laboratories are closely competing for second place.
