Naseeruddin Shah to star in Shafqat Amanat Ali's new video

Penned by notable poet Nasir Kazmi, the ghazal is a tribute to Shafqat's late father, Ustad Amanat Ali Khan

Renowned actor Naseeruddin Shah needs no introduction, so it was hardly surprising when Shafqat Amanat Ali wished the actor on his birthday by uploading  a teaser of his new music video on Facebook.



The teaser of Shafqat's single Dil Dharaknay Ka from album Mun Dikhai, Sabab shows glimpses of the veteran Bollywood actor. The video introduces the actor as a 'legend', barely showing his face.

But the teaser wasn't the only birthday wish, Shafqat made it a point to upload another post on Facebook wishing the actor:

Penned by notable poet Nasir Kazmi, Shafqat's ghazal is a tribute to his late father, Ustad Amanat Ali Khan. It was composed by Ustad Amanat but was never recorded which inspired Shafqat to make the video.

The teaser only features sounds of a cello, piano and oboe. The video has been shot by Manu Anand, cinematographer for films Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Fan.

The music video will be released later this month.
