According to an official statement issued on Friday, the special teams will remain active round the clock to address any complaints. On directions of the Water and Power Minister Khawaja Asif, a federal complaint cell has been formed for this purpose and it will coordinate with all power regulators.
At present, the country is facing an estimated shortfall of 4,500 megawatt due to increasing temperature, officials said. They, however, believed that due to the spell of monsoon these days, the shortfall will possibly decrease.
All distribution companies have assigned special duties to the staff during Eid days, added the official statement. The special teams have also been provided necessary material to resolve any complaints quickly.
The federal complaint cell will also be recording complaints of subscribers in an effort to ensure that all mosques and official buildings receive an uninterrupted supply of electricity in both rural and urban areas.
The ministry has asked the consumers to register any complaints relating to electricity at FCC on the following telephone numbers: 051-9103888, 051- 9206834 and 052-9204430. Consumers can also register complaints online at http://www.mowp.gov.pk.com.
