Peshawar market grenade attack leaves over a dozen injured

PESHAWAR: Over a dozen people were injured after unidentified assailants hurled a hand grenade at a police van in a Shabqadar market in Peshawar early on Friday morning.

According to a police official, unidentified armed motorcyclists stormed into the market and lobbed a hand grenade near a police van at Bacha Khan Chowk. He added that the van driver was among those injured.

The injured were shifted to Shabqadar Hospital for treatment following the attack.

Few of the injured were immediately discharged after receiving treatment.

Following the incident, police cordoned off the area, and a search operation was launched to apprehend the assailants.
