Crackdown: Two militants arrested

SHANGLA: Hazara region’s Special Police Unit and Kohistan police arrested two notorious militants during a joint operation in Kohistan district on Thursday. Mulawuddin and Abdus Salam were both arrested from their homes in Tangar village, said a police official in Dasu. Both were wanted for multiple terror attacks and acts of violence. The official said the two detainees were also involved in targeted attacks on travellers going down south. He said both the accused had been fugitives for long and had last escaped a blockade on July 12. They had left a vehicle behind from which the police recovered one RPG-7 along with six shells, six safety fuses, mobile SIMs and other items. Mulawuddin and Salam were shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.
