The delegation, in a meeting with Sindh Food Minister Manzoor Hussain Wassan, shared its plan to export the surplus stock to these regions.
The members were of the view that if the government framed a clear policy then the surplus wheat can be exported to these countries, said an official statement.
The minister informed the delegation that the provincial government wants to come up with a permanent policy for the export of surplus wheat and its by-products.
He was of the view that the government also desires that the growers get the maximum benefit. Wassan pointed out that an effective policy is being framed for the procurement of wheat directly from the growers at the district level.
He said that there are complaints about getting benefits of the wheat support price. Therefore, instead of increasing the support price, it wants to come up with a clear policy so that the growers can benefit.
The Minister called for a data of cash crops such as wheat, cotton and sugarcane at the district and other levels.
