PESHAWAR: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) checking teams arrested 12 people for using direct hooks from transmission lines and stealing electricity in separate areas of the city. According to Pesco Director General Public Relations Shaukat Afzal, on Monday the checking teams with the help of Pesco police paid surprise visits to Madina Colony, Machine Garhi, Shaheedabad, Bahadar Kali, Kohat Adda, Pishtakhara and Takhtabad. The suspects were caught red-handed, arrested and produced before the Pesco special magistrate who sent them to Central Prison Peshawar on judicial remand.
