KARACHI: This is with reference to Syed Talat Hussain’s article ‘A cry for print’ published on April 25. The writer has raised two important points. The first is the negative side of television coverage in Pakistan and he is dead right about this.
The second is that the main purpose of journalism — to present the reality to audiences is relegated to the background. The idea should not be to tutor audiences but to inform them about the facts. Let them form their own opinion then.
