Murder mystery: Journalist’s parents found killed

LAHORE: Two people were found murdered at their home in Garden Town late on Wednesday night. Police said Dr Javaid Zaidi and his wife Saeeda Kausar Zaidi had been killed with a sharp-edged weapon. “We believe the murders took place at least two days ago. Locks on all the closets in the house were found broken. Their son, journalist Hassan Belal Zaidi based in Islamabad, had been trying to get in touch with them for two days, but could not. On Wednesday, he visited his home and found the bodies,” police said. Funeral prayers for the deceased were offered on Thursday afternoon. They were laid to rest in Firdousia cemetery on Ferozepur Road.
