QUETTA: At least three persons were killed and four others injured when a bus carrying a wedding party plunged into Naseer Shakh canal near Dera Allah Yar on Tuesday. The bus was en route to Goth Abdul Khaliq and it fell into the canal when the driver lost control over his speeding four-wheeler, local police said. “As a result, a woman, her son and daughter were killed on the spot, while another four passengers sustained injuries,” the police said. Security forces and volunteers rushed to the spot and fished out the casualties from the canal who were subsequently driven to the nearby state-run hospital. The dead were identified as Bibi Sabira, her 12-year-old son Israr Ali and daughter Basheeran. The police blamed overspeeding for the deadly crash.
