Highlighting positives: Delegation meets Korean officials

Minister says the government has successfully dealt with two main challenges of terrorism and energy crisis

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastgir said on Tuesday that the government has successfully dealt with two main challenges of terrorism and energy crisis and Pakistan was now open for business and trade. A statement issued by the Ministry of Commerce said that the minister, who is on a two-day official visit to South Korea, had back-to-back meetings with chairmen and presidents of Korean trade organisations and Korean conglomerates. The minister also met delegates of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other industry officials. Dastgir briefed the officials, informing them of the successful endeavours of the government of Pakistan for the year and how it helps foreign investors, who earlier were adamant that the security conditions in Pakistan were incoherent for businesses.
