Under attack: Two children injured in explosion

Waliur Rahman and Nadeem were rushed to Saidu Teaching Hospital

MINGORA: Two minors were critically wounded when a hand grenade exploded in Kabal tehsil of Swat district on Thursday morning. Speaking to The Express Tribune, Kabal Circle Deputy Superintendent Hussain Bacha said the explosion occurred around 8:30am in Koza Bhandai on the outskirts of Kabal. “Waliur Rahman and Nadeem were on their way to the fields when they spotted a hand grenade which was covered in rust,” he said. According to the official, the grenade went off when Nadeem picked it up, leaving both boys injured. Residents rushed to the scene after they heard the explosion. Waliur Rahman and Nadeem were rushed to Saidu Teaching Hospital. Bacha added a case has been registered and further investigation is under way.
