The amendment was made through Finance Act 2015. The president has signed the finance bill approved by parliament. The subordinate clause No.1 of the Section 10 has also been amended removing the facility of submitting vouchers of up to Rs300,000 of air and rail journeys.
The parliamentarians will be bound to air-travel through PIA only. The travelling expenses made using PIA and Pakistan Railways will be paid for by the government.
The clause 13 has also been amended by withdrawing benefits to the members of various committees including Committee for Government Assurances, Committee for Problems of Underdeveloped Areas, Committee for Human Rights and Committee for Rules and Regulations.
Earlier, these members had a facility to spend equal to the members of the standing committees. (TRANSLATION BY ARSHAD SHAHEEN)
