DAHARKI: A child abuse victim has threatened self-immolation if his abuser, a peshimam of a mosque, is not sentenced. The peshimam sodomised the seminary student 15 days ago in Labour Colony. A medical report confirmed the incident. The seminary teacher managed to escape after the case was lodged against him on the complaint of the student’s brother. The teacher fled from the area along with his entire family. Meanwhile, the family members of the victim have demanded the immediate arrest of the culprit, alleging that the police acted in his favour due to a bribe. Family sources disclosed that the child victim attempted to commit suicide. He has threatened to set himself on fire in front of the SSP’s office if justice is not served.
