MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has denounced desecration of Srinagar’s largest mosque and atrocities against Kashmiri youth by the Indian police. In a statement, he said Indian authorities had turned Kashmir into a police state, where police had been given free hand without any accountability. He urged the international community to take note of Indian “state terrorism and targeted killings of youth” and illegal detention of Hurriyat leaders and activists in Indian Kashmir. Majeed said India could not suppress the freedom struggle by using brute force against the innocent struggling for their right to self determination. He said joining Pakistan was the ultimate goal of Kashmiri people and by waving Pakistani flags they had reiterated their resolve to continue their struggle till the liberation of their motherland and accession of the whole state to Pakistan.
