Pakistan and China agreed on Saturday to complete work on generating 900 megawatts of electricity in Bahawalpur Solar Power Park by 2016, Radio Pakistan reported.
"The project will be completed by 2016 while 300-megawatt of electricity will be generated from the power park by the end of this year," Punjab Chief Mister Shahbaz Sharif said during a meeting with a Chinese delegation in Lahore.

"The government has assured the Chinese company that all possible facilities will be provided to ensure that work can be finished on time," Shahbaz added.
The Punjab chief minister upheld the solar power park project is part of China, Pakistan Economic Corridor.
Earlier today, Pakistan and China decided to jointly establish ‘IIU New Silk Road School of Technology’.

This was agreed in a meeting between a Chinese delegation led by educationist Din Hai Tao and International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Rector Dr Masoom Yasinzai. The delegation also consisting of Chinese entrepreneurs offered faculty and management support for the school.
