Education Needs: Pindi to have three new degree colleges

The official said that the colleges have been approved on the persistent demand of the area residents

RAWALPINDI: Three new colleges will soon be constructed in Dhamial, Mandra and Hassan Abdal areas of the Rawalpindi division at a cost of Rs380 million. An official at the Rawalpindi Education Department said that of these colleges, a girls degree college will be constructed in Mandra at a cost of Rs120 million, a boys degree college in Hassan Abdal at a cost of Rs130 million and a boys degree college in Dhamial at a cost of Rs130 million. The official said that the colleges have been approved on the persistent demand of the area residents, who have to send their children to Rawalpindi for higher education in the absence of a degree college in their respective localities. The official further said that bids against a tender for construction of the girls degree college in Mandra have already been accepted.
