ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Gilgit-Baltistan Chapter President Hafeezur Rehman will take oath as the province's chief minister today.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would not be in attendance as he could not travel due to bad weather conditions.
A reliable source from the PML-N informed that the new cabinet will be announced in a few days.

Furthermore, the premier congratulated the new Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly Speaker Haji Fida Mohammad Naushad and Deputy Speaker Jafar Allah Khan on being elected unopposed.
PML-N appeared on top during the June 8 elections, which were conducted under the supervision of the Pakistan Army.

Hafeezur Rahman said his government’s top priority would be the elimination of corruption and restoration of merit in the region.
“We will work for the betterment of the region and for that we would take the opposition into confidence.”
