Target Killing: Sub-inspector shot dead
A passerby, 25-year-old Abid Akhtar, was also wounded in the incident
KARACHI:
A police inspector was gunned down by unidentified armed motorcyclists in Baldia Town. Forty-five-year-old sub-inspector Riaz Mughal, who was posted to Clifton police station, was shot dead near his residence located close to alSadat Chowk in Saeedabad police station remits. A passerby, 25-year-old Abid Akhtar, was also wounded in the incident. Both were taken to Civil hospital where Mughal succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Deputy superintendent Naeem Khan said that initial investigation suggests that the incident occurred over personal enmity.
