Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah said Pakistan Navy “is well equipped” and “fully capable to defend Maritime frontiers” of the country.

“In the face of host of internal and external challenges being faced by the nation, Pakistan Navy is well equipped, highly motivated and fully capable to defend the Maritime frontiers of Pakistan,” he made the remark while addressing the officers of 44th PN Staff Course at Pakistan Navy War College on National Security Challenges to Pakistan.

The Naval Staff chief said the global environment continues to be in a flux, with increased pace of transition. In the maritime domain, he added, control of oceans as a strategic space has emerged as a defining feature of the last few decades.

Zain | 8 years ago | Reply @Burki That attack was unfortunate and a security lapse, but since then, terrorists attempted to hijack a Pakistan Navy surface vessel, and were dealt with effectively by the gunner on security. Lessons have been learned from the GHQ, PNS Mehran, PAF Kamra, Peshawar APS attacks.
Burki | 8 years ago | Reply Sure Chief, we all saw your "capabilities" on full display when terrorists were able to break into Mehran airbase and destroy precious naval air assets while the navy chief continued to insist it was not a security failure.
