Advertising isn't going anywhere in the near future. The outrageous amounts of money spent on ad campaigns eclipse any amount that is shelled out on other promotional activity of any product or service.

Ads have a certain influence on the buying decisions of the masses. Big corporations are more than willing to pay absurdly exorbitant sums for ads because they are sure that the influx of revenue would keep escalating. TV commercials in particular have usurped all other media of advertisement.

Twitteratis are convinced that advertisers do not seem to think twice before succumbing to the temptation of over-dramatising their brands and often end up making a laughing-stock out of themselves.  It has clearly become a fashion of m-ad-ness.

Here are two cents from many who think along the same lines:

Don't you advocate diversity?

They will even send you somewhere as remote as Mars. Unapologetically.
