From 'Baazigar' to 'Dilwale' - A look at SRK and Kajol's on-screen magic
Wove their magic two decades ago and we are still spellbound
The iconic jodi of Bollywood King, Shah Rukh Khan and timeless beauty Kajol is ready to win Bollywood and our hearts all over again.
The on-screen chemistry of the two is endearingly palpable. Well known for melting hearts, the two started weaving their magic on-screen over two decades ago and since then they are the most enchanting couple till date.
The two are all set to come together in Rohit Shetty's upcoming film Dilwale which has already garnered immense excitement. Kajol and SRK immediately tweeted a picture from the sets of the film, currently being shot in Bulgaria.
Let's take a look at how far the two have come. Here is a sneak-peak into the film journey of the couple:
Don't we all remember the Baazigar of 1993? Shah Rukh was seen romancing Shilpa Shetty who played Kajol's sister. But the real deal started when Kajol and Shah Rukh paired.
That is when Jaati Hoon Main Jaldi Hai Kya happened in the stables.
Karan Arjun released in 1995 featuring this duo, was another big success at the box office. While SRK taught Kajol how to do a slingshot, the babe had already aimed at his heart.
In 1995 it was decided that Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge but dilwale did not only take the dulhania but also took our hearts away. The scenes from the movie still make us all swoon.
Who wants Romeo and Juliet when we have a romance like Simran and Raj, and that too in mustard fields? It's safe to say that that film made us all believe in love.
The iconic train scene where the two lovers finally unite. SIGH!
Just looking at them you can feel Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The college fights left us all in giggles and Kajol pulled off the tomboy look like no other in B-town. But it broke our hearts when both parted ways.
But the on-screen kismet had something else in store of them... and us! What at treat it was to see them together in the end.
Karan Johar's magnum opus of 2001, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum did great at the box office. The charming rich guy who wins the heart of a middle class girl and rebels against the family for her hand in marriage. Now that's the kind of thing Shah Rukh would not have second thoughts doing, but only for Kajol.
The tales of movie's art direction are told till date. Kajol's chiffon saarees had become quite a rage back in the day.
My Name is Khan was another film that reminded us how perfect SRK and Kajol look on-screen.
Other than being SRK's lead counterpart, Kajol also made special appearances in some of King Khan's movies.
Her presence in Om Shanti Om almost made us forget Deepika who made her debut with the movie. The two looked cute as ever as they danecd in one of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi songs.
The chemistry they possess is electrifying and fans on Twitter expressed their adoration for the two.
Now that's the chemistry!
Spot on!
Don't we all?
The King and his queen.
That's the word.
There is yet another Bollywood on-screen couple to steal our hearts like they have.
