Two locals gunned down in Peshawar

Rescue 1122 and police arrived at the scene where the area was cordoned off and a search operation commenced

PESHAWAR: A local honey dealer was left dead Friday when unidentified assailants opened fire on him in Peshawar's Bashirabad area.

Bashir Ahmend, who hailed from Kurram Agency, was a resident of Bashirabad and was gunned down by unidentified assailants as he was on his way to a shop on Pajagi Road near Tableeghi Markaz.

Another man Gohar, a resident of Khazana, was standing on the other side of the road and also received bullets and died on the spot.

Gohar's family said they were unaware of any enmity that he may have had with anyone and Ahmed was the target of the assailants.

An FIR was lodged against the unidentified assailants and investigation has commenced.

Just yesterday, a targeted blast  in Peshawar’s Hayatabad area left two police officials dead while five others were injured.
