Wanted terrorist Nasrullah Bazid arrested in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: A wanted terrorist was arrested from Peshawar’s Mattani area by the Shaheen Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Friday.

Nasarullah Bazid, a resident of Bazid Khel, Badhaber, belongs to the Kuladam party and was wanted for involvement in various terrorist activities, especially for an attack on the residence of late Aman Lashker leader Dilawar Khan in Adezai in 2011.

The ATS arrested Nasrullah following a tip-off on his location and have transferred him to an unidentified location for investigation.

Last month, the police arrested 340 suspects from different areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

According to police sources, the arrested suspects also included 15 Afghan nationals, who were living in the province illegally.

A huge quantity of arms and ammunition were recovered from the suspects.
