The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) will be providing $535 million in assistance to eight million people in the disaster-prone areas of Pakistan, Radio Pakistan reported.

A WFP official, while speaking to a local news agency, informed that the programme would help to address issues pertaining to nutrition and education across the country.

“With the help of donors and government of Pakistan, WFP will be achieving the set targets," he further added.

Earlier in April, The World Food Programme handed over a relief goods storage facility, worth $25 million to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority at a ceremony in Hyderabad.

The WFP and the world community do not want to ask the politicians why people are starving??? Because, our self-glorifying politicians were brought onto the political saddle by the West. Salams
