TTP's Haji Gul among 4 terrorists killed in North Waziristan
Separately, TTP commander Shamim along with four others were killed in Ladha, South Waziristan
RAWALPINDI/PESHAWAR:
Haji Gul, a wanted terrorist involved in a number of terrorist acts was killed, along with four other terrorists, in a military operation on Wednesday in Spinkhwara area on the border between North Waziristan and Bannu.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement, an intelligence-based operation was conducted in Spinkhwara area on Wednesday morning which left five people dead.

Separately, commander Shamim of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), along with four others, were killed during a clash with security forces in the border regions of Ladha, South Waziristan.

Tribal sources said the clash between security forces and militants, headed by Shamim, continued for a few hours in the mountainous region of Shawal, which connects both North and South Waziristan and border regions of Afghanistan with each other.
Shamim, who belongs to the Barki tribe of South Waziristan, had associations with the then TTP chief Hakimullah Mehsud.

He took over as an acting chief of the TTP after Mehsud was forced to go into hiding after sustaining injuries in 2012. Later, Shamim switched to Said Khan Sajna group as fighters loyal to Mehsud split into two groups when Mullah Fazalullah was named as the new TTP chief.
The government had announced a Rs20 million bounty on him.
