Charsadda attack: Newly elected general councilor killed

SHABQADAR: Newly elected general counselor was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Charsadda city, while two others were injured in firing on Suzuki van at about 8 pm Tuesday evening.  Police official Maza Ullah Khan from the district head quarter hospital Charsadda while giving initial information about the incident told The Express Tribune that one Atta Ul haq newly elected independent General councilor was in Suzuki van from city to his home when his van was fired upon near Habib Ullah korona some one KM east of the city. He died in the shootout while two others Abdullah and Jan Alam were injured and shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Charsadda for treatment. Police have not yet registered report of the incident and investigation is underway.
