Rough seas: Warning issued to fishermen
It is too early to say if the cyclone will hit any part of Pakistan

The sea along Pakistan’s coastline is likely to remain rough, with strong winds blowing in from Tuesday afternoon to Friday, the meteorological department warned on Sunday. With potential cyclonic activity in the Arabian Sea, Sindh’s fishermen have been warned not to venture into the open seas from Tuesday afternoon to Thursday, while those in Balochistan have been advised to stay away from the sea from Wednesday to Friday. “It is too early to say if the cyclone will hit any part of Pakistan,” said Abdul Qayoom Bhutto, the director of the Cyclone Centre, warning that the coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan could experience heavy rain if the cyclone developed. According to the cyclone alert, the area of intense convection now lies about 1,200 kilometres south-southeast of Karachi.
