The popular snack from the Nestle India kitchen, has been in the news after a lab report confirmed high levels of lead in the product.
A case is registered against the company at a local court in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh by food regulator FSDA (Food Safety and Drug Administration). The chemical monosodium glutamate (MSG) and lead were found in excess, crossing the prescribed limit in Maggi samples.
Big B instantly distanced himself from the brand saying that "he does not endorse the product anymore."
Whereas Bollywood actress Preity was shocked on the account of being sued for doing the Maggi commercial nearly 12 years ago.
