ECP announces schedule for re-polls, candidates required to submit nomination papers on June 15 and 16

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday announced the schedule for re-polling in PK-95 constituency, Lower Dir II, Express News reported.

The statement came two days after the election authorities scrapped election results for a provincial assembly constituency of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) where women were not allowed to cast their votes in a by-poll held on May 7.

According to the schedule, voting will take place on July 12 for which the candidates are required to submit the nomination papers on June 15 and 16. Returning officers are set to scrutinise applications of candidates on June 18 and 19. Further, the list of final candidates is to be announced on June 26.

This time round, officials election commission will be working as District Returning Officers (DROs) and Returning Officers (ROs). Regional Election Commissioner Malakand Division, Swat has been nominated as DRO while District Election Commissioner Lower Dir is the RO.
