Executed: Two murder convicts hanged

LAHORE: Two murder convicts were hanged on Thursday at Kot Lakhpat Jail, Lahore, and Central Jail, Mainwali. Kot Lakhpat Jail Superintendent Asad Javed Warraich told The Express Tribune Shamasul Haq was hanged early in the morning. He said he had been imprisoned at Sheikhupura Jail but was moved to Kot Lakhpat Jail for execution. A district judge had sentenced Haq to death for killing Ali Imran in Mananwala on November 22, 1999. The president had rejected his clemency appeal.  Fateh Muhammad had killed two people in 1999.
