Ramazan preparations: Rs13 million released for subsidy payments

He told that as many as 18 Ramazan Bazaars and 60 fair price shops would be set up across the district

The government has released Rs13 million to the Faisalabad Market Committee to provide 13 items on subsidised rates to the general public during the month of Ramazan.


A spokesman of the market committee told newsmen on Wednesday that as many as 18 Ramazan Bazaars and 60 fair price shops would be set up across the district where potatoes, tomatoes, lady fingers, bitter gourd, squash, bananas, dates, pulses, lentils and rice would be available at subsidised rates.

He said  Ramazan Bazaars would be set up at Riaz Shahid Chowk near Iqbal Stadium, Millat Road near Star Petroleum, Sir Syed Town in Factory Area, Akbar Chowk Gulistan Colony, Faizan-i -Madina Chowk on Susan Road, Mehdi Mohallah Mansoorabad, Kaleem Shaheed Park on Narwala Road, ABC Cinema Road, Adda Saddar in Jhang Road, Fowara Chowk near Kashmir Park, Peoples Colony, Samanabad, Masjid Bazaar in Jaranwala near the PTCL Exchange on Jhumra Road, Chak Jhumra Road at Adda Khurarianwala, Quaid-i -Azam Road near Lorry Adda Tandlianwala, Pul Sain Nehar near Rail Bazaar Mamonkanjan, Gojra Road near Rickshaw Stand Sammundri and Chiniot Road near Jinnah Park, Chak Jhumra.

He said arrangements in this regard had been completed. He said Ramazan Bazaars would be made functional within a few days.
