Woman attempts to kill second husband

Police arrested a woman and her alleged accomplice for killing her first husband and attempting to murder the second in Kahna.

According to the police, the suspect, Nazia was arrested along with her accomplice Danish from Jinnah Hospital with the help of investigative technology.

Officials said the woman had married Ishtiaq around four years ago, but murdered him for financial gain with the help of an accomplice and later contracted second marriage with Ashfaq.

According to the police, had later allegedly planned to eliminate her second husband as well.

The investigators claimed that she, along with her son Danish, had staged a robbery attempt and had Ashfaq shot a day earlier in an effort to portray the incident as firing during resistance to a robbery.

The police said the suspects had attempted to mislead investigators by presenting the incident as a robbery-related shooting.

A case has been registered, while the investigations are under way.
