Enforced Disappearance: Police told to produce Mirza aide’s son

HYDERABAD: The Sindh High Court has ordered the Hyderabad police to produce the missing son of a close aide of former home minister Zulfiqar Mirza, allegedly detained by the police. Nineteen-year-old Sarmad Abro was detained during a police raid to arrest his father, Mehboob Abro, from his residence in Hyderabad on May 19. The petitioner, Mehboob, claimed that his son’s enforced disappearance was an act of political victimisation. The court ordered the police to produce the boy in court by June 10.
