Faulty Services: Tailor issued notice in damages suit

LAHORE: A consumer court on Tuesday issued a notice to a tailoring business in a suit seeking Rs261,000 in damages for faulty services.Petitioner Ayaz Khan submitted that the business, located on Gulberg’s Main Boulevard, failed to meet the December 20 deadline for delivery of two shalwar kamees suits he had ordered ahead of his cousin’s wedding.  He said when delivered a few days before the wedding, the suits turned out to be a poor fit. “I ended up purchasing ready-made suits for the ceremony,” he said. He requested the court to direct the respondent to pay him damages.
