Bilawal Bhutto arrives in Karachi
Bhutto scion to participate in jalsas across Punjab in the wake of LG polls in the province
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari arrived at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi Monday afternoon and is en route to Bilawal House, Express News reported.
The chairman who has not been in the country for the past six months will once again take part in party politics. Preparation at Bilawal House are under way to welcome the Bhutto scion.
The co-chairman is en route to Bilawal House amid tight security in a bullet proof vehicle among an entourage of eight double cabin cars.
After a short stay in the city, Bhutto will reportedly travel across Punjab where several jalsas will be held in preparation for future local body elections.

Bilawal was also not in the country for the 36th death anniversary of his grandfather Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, for which a mega event was held on April 4 in Garhi Khuda Bux.
Earlier, reports of differences between Bilawal and his father Zardari over running the party matters, emerged. However, both leaders, as well as their party, have rebutted it terming these reports as hype being created by the media.
PPP forms committees for LB polls
The PPP said it has formed committees for the forthcoming local bodies’ polls in the country.
Spokesperson Senator Farhatullah Babar said that the committees have been set up after party co-chairman met with party cadres from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and directed the party to gear itself for the local bodies’ elections.
He said that the committees will head hunt potential candidates for the local elections and also assist the provincial cadres in drawing up election strategies including alliances if needed.
Initially, the committees have been set up for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, central and south Punjab. The LB polls committee for Central Punjab comprises of Raja Pervez Ashraf, Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari, Raja Riaz Ahmad, Nadeem Afzal Chan, Khurram Jahangir Wattoo, Rana Farooq Saeed and Nadeem Asghar Kaira.
