Police officials on Friday arrested 340 suspects from different areas of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, Radio Pakistan reported.  

According to police sources, the arrested suspects also included 15 Afghan nationals who were living in the province illegally.

Further, a huge quantity of arms and ammunition were recovered from the suspects.

On May 19, Hangu city police arrested a POs during a raid on a house in Karmaywal Kalay. He was wanted in multiple cases of terrorism and anti-state activities.

Just last month, police officials from Bannu, Hangu and Swabi arrested almost 200 POs and confiscated 46 kilogrammes of hashish and fined 8,598 vehicle drivers.
