KARACHI: Two suspects were killed during an alleged encounter with the police in Manghopir on Thursday. Police officials conducted an intelligence-based raid at a narcotics den in Mianwali Colony. Pirabad police officials said that the law enforcers were cordoning off the area when the suspects opened fire at them. The police retaliated and killed two suspects. The deceased were involved in various cases of killing police personnel in West district while also being affiliated with the Abid Mucchar group of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. Their bodies were shifted to the Edhi morgue in Sohrab Goth after medico-legal formalities were completed at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where one of them was identified as Mubarak Ali. The case has been registered.
