ISLAMABAD:
All field offices of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) would remain open on May 30 (Saturday) for collecting duties and taxes.
Since May 31 (Sunday) is a public holiday, the FBR in coordination with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and NBP has made special arrangements for the collection of duties and taxes on Saturday, said a statement issued by the FBR.
The SBP has called for settlement and clearing of FBR transactions on month-end. NBP branches will settle their transactions on the same day (May 30) with respective SBP Banking Services Corporation offices for which a special clearing will be arranged at 3pm by NIFT and the bank will settle the transactions with SBP BSC by 9pm.
Furthermore, to facilitate taxpayers, NBP branches will accept cash transactions till 5pm. All field offices of the FBR will remain open from 9am to 9pm on Saturday.
