Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan awarded degrees to 188 graduates at the ceremony attended by the varsity’s faculty and student body and vice chancellors of other private universities. Graduates with outstanding academic records were also awarded gold medals. Khush Bakht received 15 gold medals, while Syed Hashim Ali Shah got nine.
Talking on the occasion, Mehtab said in a very short time KMU has made its mark and is contributing immensely to the health sector.
“The varsity’s seven constituent and 28 affiliated institutes speak for its role in reshaping higher education in the province,” he said.
Also speaking on the occasion, VC Professor Dr Hafizullah said KMU is imparting quality education in medicine, nursing, physiotherapy and other fields at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He said the varsity will soon initiate PhD programmes in different disciplines of medical science.
The university gifted the governor seven journals published by KMU’s Institute of Basic Sciences, while a convocation souvenir was also presented to him.
