During a meeting held with the Saudi Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al Jubeir on Thursday, Aziz expressed strong commitment towards protecting the two holy mosque, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The adviser on foreign affairs and national security met the Saudi foreign minister on the sidelines of the 42nd Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers meeting in Kuwait on 27th May, 2015.
Speaking about the Yemen crisis, Aziz briefed Jubeir on Pakistan’s efforts to engage the regional countries to resolve the Yemen crisis in a peaceful manner.
Jubeir said that both Saudi and Pakistan enjoy close brotherly and strategic relations.
“These relations are based on strong foundations and are destined to grow from strength to strength,” the Saudi foreign minister added.
He referred to the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries and underlined the need for further enhancing trade and investment.
Aziz extended warm congratulations to Jubeir on his appointment as the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia and conveyed his deep condolences over the loss of several precious lives in the terrorist attack in Eastern province of Saudi Arabia.

He also briefed the Saudi foreign minister on the successful outcome of operation Zarb-e-Azb and the economic turnaround achieved by Pakistan.
Referring to the improving investment climate in Pakistan, Aziz mentioned the China Pakistan Economic Corridor Programme saying that it involved an investment of 46 billion dollars over the next five to seven years.
Jubeir expressed personal affection towards Pakistan and said that he was looking forward to visiting the country in the near future.
