Anil Kapoor is the boss in 'Dil Dhadakne Do' but not in his own home
Anil Kapoor admited that it was a nice change to play the role of a dominating father for the film
KOLKATA:
Bollywood megastar Anil Kapoor, who will be seen in forthcoming film Dil Dhadakne Do, said that he gets his way as the 'my way or the highway' dad in the film as opposed to his own family.
According to Times of India, Anil Kapoor explained how contrasting his role in the film is to his real life. "It was good fun to play him because in my own family of strong-willed individuals, it's always their way, never my way, " explained the actor.
"No one is in the slightest bit afraid or in awe of me," he added, admitting that it was a nice change to play the role of a dominating father for the film.
Also starring Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Shefali Shah, Farhan Akhtar and Anushka Sharma, Dil Dhadakne Do (DDD) is a family film, said the 58-year-old veteran.

"It is a family film. It is a Zoya Akhtar film so it has a distinct style. It is a film which you can easily say is world-standard," Anil said during the promotion of his film.
Set for a June 5 release, DDD also has another character - a dog named Pluto - which, according to Anil, is the real hero of the flick.
"Pluto is the real hero of the film. We all make up the ensemble around him. He is the real rockstar," said Anil, the father of actress Sonam.
Talking about his role, the Slumdog Millionaire actor said people will notice a difference in his look.

"I am tired of people asking me about there being no difference over the ages. In this film you will notice the difference and this is why I did the film. You will see the difference (faraq in Urdu) and you will be proud of it," said Anil who sports a salt and pepper hairstyle.
The actor dodged using a wig for his look in the film. “I am excited about my look. It was very difficult to get that right. Actors generally go for a wig but I chose to look as real as possible. We really worked hard to get that salt-n-pepper appearance,” the actor told Press Trust of India.
