KARACHI:

Real estate tycoon Malik Riaz Hussain has arrived in Dubai where he will attend some important meetings related to Bahria Town’s upcoming projects of building five-star hotels in Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta.

His real estate firm is already building Sheraton Hotels in the Bahria Towns of Rawalpindi and Lahore, and at the Golf City project in Islamabad. These hotels are expected to kick start a new era of hospitality industry in Pakistan, promote tourism in these cities and thus contribute to the economic growth of the country.

Riaz will likely have a meeting with the senior office-bearers of K-Electric to discuss the progress on the multi-billion rupees project signed two months ago in Dubai. These agreements related to production and uninterrupted distribution of electricity.

Both parties have agreed to invest billions of rupees on various projects to produce electricity from coal, liquefied natural gas and solar power. Modern technology will also be introduced for the distribution of electricity to minimise transmission losses.

Riaz will also hold meetings with the world’s renowned architects, engineers and consultants to discuss the upcoming mega projects that will be initiated shortly in Bahria Towns in Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore.

These projects are expected to be important milestones in the development and prosperity of the country.
