Traffic police: Refresher course for policemen ends

Hashmi said the ITP was the role model for other law-enforcement agencies

The 3rd refresher course for employees of the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) concluded here recently.


During the course, traffic police officials were briefed about road safety, traffic laws, VIP duties, process of attaining a driving licence, ensuring smooth flow of traffic, courteous attitude and inculcating friendly police ecology.


The concluding ceremony was presided over by Superintendent of Police (SP) Ilyas Hashmi and was attended among others by the deputy superintendents police (DSPs) and inspectors of all the traffic zones.


Hashmi said the ITP was the role model for other law-enforcement agencies owing to the hard work of its employees.


He added that efforts would continue to improve the performance of the police and making it more people-friendly through decent behaviour towards road users.


The superintendent police said that such  courses would be held in future too.
