Altercation: Cops on Reham’s security suspended

LAHORE: Two Elite Force men, part of a security squad protecting Reham Khan, were suspended from service on Saturday for allegedly beating up a rickshaw driver. Reham Khan was on her way to condole the death of PTI worker, Mazhar Hussain when her convoy entered a narrow street which was blocked by a rickshaw. The Elite Force personnel asked the driver to move the rickshaw aside and started pushing it. The rickshaw driver started arguing with them. The policemen slapped him,” a police official, requesting anonymity, said. SP Mujahid Force Mukhtar Hussain Shah suspended the in charge of the convoy’ security, Hafiz Ali, and driver of the vehicle, Ahmad Shahzad. A Legal Branch DSP has been directed to hold an inquiry into the incident,” the police official said. SP Mujahid Force Mukhtar Hussain Shah refused to comment.
