A Balochistan Levies man was killed during an operation to rescue the assistant commissioner (AC) of Basima tehsil of Washuk district on Friday. Frontier Corps spokesman Khan Wassey said that militants had besieged the AC and his Levies guards. A contingent of FC went to the area in a helicopter provided by the home department. “During the operation a Levies man was killed, while the rest were safely rescued,” he said.
