Meanwhile, the department of planning and development has been given to Finance Minister Murad Ali Shah. The CM was in-charge of this department for the last seven years.
The CM himself was holding the portfolio of home ministry after the resignation of Manzoor Wassan in 2012. Sial, who is considered one of the PPP leadership’s most trusted lieutenants, belongs to Faridabad village, Taluka Bakrani of Larkana district. He works as coordinator to PPP MNA Faryal Talpur who reportedly played an important role in his appointment as home minister. Sial won the by-election from PS 35 Larkana in April 2014.
