ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday rejected Shafat Hussain's intra-court appeal requesting for a stay on his execution, Express News reported.

The court, headed by Justices Noorul Haq Qureshi and Athar Minallah, rejected the appeal whereby murder convict Shafqat Hussain had requested for the creation of a judicial commission to launch an investigation to determine his age at the time of offence.

The IHC on Wednesday reserved its verdict on the plea which declared that the petition calling for the formation of a judicial commission to determine Hussain’s age was not maintainable.

Earlier this month, IHC issued a stay order against the execution a day before he was scheduled to be hanged.
